Seventh release of PvPscene AAS Missions (2010-02-05)

Several new features in. Most part of the spawn menu.

  • Added: Show classes in use of your team in the respawn menu.
  • Added: Ability to change class in the respawn dialog.
  • Added: Button to display a full screen map from the respawn dialog.
  • Added: Ability to do HALO insertion as Recon.
  • Added: Keyshortcuts to spawn menu.
  • Added: Spectator mode.
  • Changed: Limit Recon class to two units per side.
  • Fixed: The position marker remains at the position of the disconnected player.
  • Fixed: Nearest medic distance not up-to-date at times.

Sixth release of PvPscene AAS Missions (2010-01-27)

Please excuse the trouble in the fifth release. Try this quick update instead.

A several important fixes and tweaks mainly related with interface and blocked key actions:

  • Changed: Disable 'lock unit/object' key actions only when inside a vehicle.
  • Changed: Show 'blocked key action' info as top right hint.
  • Changed: Show 'healing' info as top right hint.
  • Changed: Disable HDR change at mission start.
  • Changed: Replace rocket equiped choppers with MG type in Panthera missions.
  • Fixed: LMB SC is seen as RMB SC event (by mouse displayEventHandler).
  • Fixed: Revive side chat message can be seen by the other team.
  • Fixed: HDR mouse wheel eventhandler is active even outside the menu.
  • Fixed: HDR menu cannot be closed by some people.

The next major update, now called PvPscene AAS and even more to come!

A few fixes, several important tweaks and new features in:

  • Added: Compute list of available vehicles per zone in the briefing notes.
  • Added: Briefing entry about special and disabled key actions.
  • Added: Group chat message if 'blocked' action keys are used.
  • Added: Quick switch to rifle grenade mode via "User2" key action.

Fourth release of PvPscene AAS Missions (2010-01-11)

Welcome to 20.10 and a major update for AAS!

Several important fixes, tweaks and new features in:

  • Added: Implement A&D version possible to select as parameter.
  • Added: Add smoke / hand grenade quick lob feature.
  • Added: Add black background to minimap unit markers.
  • Added: Make revive action shown automatically on cursor on dead.
  • Added: Replace flag icons with more position precise ones.
  • Added: Nearest medic is XXm away - message should contain medic name.
  • Added: Hide revive action for non medic classes.
  • Changed: Change special AAS key actions to F-keys.
  • Changed: Sync zone and flag position.
  • Changed: Make minimap bigger.
  • Changed: To capture a zone a simple majority should be suffice.
  • Changed: Make zone name text larger in the minimap.
  • Changed: Make team member markers green with bit of alpha (instead of white, like the player marker).
  • Fixed: After respawn at times "a key is stuck" and causes continuous performing of the action.
  • Fixed: JIP players are not beamed back to XRAY.
  • Fixed: Units cannot revive on mission start.
  • Fixed: Pressing ESC during respawn menu makes you stuck in camera.
  • Fixed: End result (number of zones) is not always correct.

Third release of PvPscene AAS Missions (2009-12-21)

A couple of issues were resolved in this release.

Overview of the core changes:

  • Added: max 2 AT and 1 Sniper class per 10 players limit.
  • Added: parameter option to disable spawn in zone to defend.
  • Added: viewdistance, terrainGrid (clutter), daytime, weather and fog a mission parameter.
  • Changed: Tweak capture speed of zones.
  • Changed: Replace M16A2 with M4A1 types and AK74 with AK107.
  • Changed: Reduce number of standard rifle magazine to four.
  • Changed: default values of 'mission default' parameters are shown.
  • Changed: Made small missions have 20 minutes mission time by default.
  • Fixed: No end screen shown, if one side captures all zone but XRAY.
  • Fixed: Sync weather for JIP (time, weather, fog, rain).
  • Fixed: Replaced MG_Nest object until LOD issue is fixed.

A couple of issues were resolved in this release.

Overview of the core changes:

  • Fixed: Remove position markers of dead units.
  • Fixed: JIP players need to be moved to the main base.
  • Fixed: Revive refills equipment.
  • Fixed: Vehicles get respawned even though they have crew inside.
  • Fixed: Remove sniper/AT weapon from dead.

First release of PvPscene AAS Missions (2009-11-26)

The fundamental system remains the same, still the PvPscene version is heavily modified
and tweaked for match play.

By default the missions start with in Public mode. It is less restricted compared
to the Match mode. Basically more interface helpers, more spawn shield time and
respawn even for combat vehicles.

Overview of the core changes:

  • Reduced and tweaked HUD for more demanding play and less artificial helpers.
  • In Match mode no respawn for combat vehicles. Faster empty vehicle respawn.
  • At mission start people are at the foremost zone under control to avoid rushing.
  • Changing classes only possible in X-Ray. No more fast rearm at crates.
  • Possible to beam from X-ray to the zones at the rucksack stack object.
  • Revive and healing for almost all classes to boost teamplay.
  • Heavily reworked class system (more classes, no scoped weapons, more specialized).

Thanks to community contributions there are 45 missions now available.
The CB AAS missions are limited to 10on10 to promote smaller, yet more AAS servers.
