Description

I would like if possible new "extraction modes" using ropes.

Mostly two:

- Harness extraction and being able to lift the person into the chopper using the winch

- And that one I do not know the name in English but here are some pictures of what I would love to see (I think the US name of the technique involves the word "cluster"):

I know it was possible back in OFP, modders like BAS (for the Blackhawk) or Operation Frenchpoint (for the Puma) used them. It was using a "get in/out" action.

I think that would be useful for pilots to be able to extract personnel without having to risk their chopper on broken grounds, towns, forests or from water (like a downed pilot for example).

Besides the broken ground argument it can be very useful in very hot LZs.
Here is a scenario showing why:
The SF team runs toward the chopper for extraction but there might be infantry personnel, maybe armed with rocket launchers, machine guns, or even tacticals.
The extraction chopper arrives at the LZ, warned by the team the chopper stays in the air the gunners covering the team on the ground, lowers the rope, the team attaches itself to the rope (usually the second method I ask is used to extract everybody at once, much faster), the chopper leaves everybody alive!

Of course both methods would require a "speed" limit. Otherwise harness attachements can break or the guy(s) can end up as a blown up Scottish Haggis in contact with the rotor blades...

Cooperation in many fields is common between NATO countries.

PS: je suis fran├žais aussi ;-)

Please someone tell me the name of the second technique I am asking I forgot! That is driving me made! lol Pretty sure it involves the word "cluster".
In French we call it "grappe" which would be roughly traduced by "grapes" because once extracted men on the rope look somewhat like grapes (ugly ones I agree) dangling from the chopper.

A hoist would also be nice for the purpose of medevacs of injured personnel. Would somewhat make a 9 line medevac request more applicable in game.

Hoist, that's the correct word indeed! I was using "winch"!

Also do you know the name of the second extraction technique I posted pictures please?

Thanks!
By looking into STABO pictures it also is called FRIES/SPIES now (the "E" part :-) ).

important sidenote to the ACE team: a harness item should be required for FRIES/SPIES extraction as I do not think the default BIS skins show the characters equipped with one.
