Description

With all the new islands addons about now days, I'm having to constantly keep changing the Custom Arguments field with custom start-up parameters.

Would it be possible to convert the Custom Arguments field into a listBox with a drop down history of maybe 10 or so entries?

I'm guessing the above is the easiest solution, but for further optional ideas:

Separate checkboxes for: - showScriptErrors and - noFilePatching would also be handy, but mainly for mission or addon developers.
A separate listBox field for - world= would be ideal, but I'm not sure how you'd populate it with valid entries, unless you simply made it a history list too.

Also, could the width of the Custom Arguments box be widened a little since it is quite narrow to scroll along, given that parameters are quite long as seen in the examples.

Eg:
  • -world=utes -showScriptErrors -noFilePatching
  • -world=utes
  • -world=chernarus -showScriptErrors -noFilePatching
  • -world=queshkibrul -showScriptErrors -noFilePatching
  • -showScriptErrors -noFilePatching "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\Dr%20Eyeball\missions\RedCobra.queshkibrul"
  • "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\Dr%20Eyeball\missions\RedCobra.queshkibrul"
  • -world=chernarus
  • etc, etc

I'm thinking about making a "basic" and "advanced" tab on the launch settings.
I need to move them to tabs as else I have too little space, this could be filled with other "missing" options.
It would also allow for a bigger "custom" textbox.
The -world thing is not really needed as you can easily select those after launching A2? Or am i missing a biggy here for mission makers?
Again i'll first move to making it a small tab within the groupbox, maybe later i can add some other nifty stuff there.

Loading Utes is fast, but still adds a little overhead when you could be loading the island you want to begin with.

The big two -showScriptErrors and -noFilePatching are really needed. Everytime you connect to a non-favorited server, you are required to make multiple clicks and type the required -noFilePatching line.

When you want to edit, this is not really a issue, because you can make multiple placeholder favorites to save editing launch settings. Make a favorite pointing to localhost or 192.168.*.* and set everything the way you like for editing. Include the Local Game option so that it will not actually try to connect to the dummy IP.

The problem could also be solved by having a default profile for non-favorited servers. The options you set to play on public servers usually remain the same, so this would save a lot of redundant resetting of options.

Yes I agree with Dr Eyeball and tcp here. These to are so frequently used that they deserve check boxes of their own.
