Description

Would it be possible to modify the sandbag system to make a new system that would allow infantry to setup Concertina wire?

I find it a bit weird to carry something like that in your rucksack... oO

but you can add it in the rucksack emplacement and you can make a model to put in the back

So, in real life soldiers actually carry that stuff in their rucksacks? OK then, didn't know that.

They carry it on vehicles.

yeah i know but for more easy game play you can add it did you ever see a man carry M2 on his back ? it's the same the M2 is carriable but it's very hard

Too much if you ask me. Even the realistic oriented missions I've played are still gaming and not really simulation. Even simple stuff like mines are usually neglected. Meaning that the cost is too high compared to how much it would be used. A simple mission specific action based "Place Cortina" (with vanilla object) with a placement preview from a logical vehicle would suffice and be very easy to setup if it is needed.

I want I want I want, just as everyone else :) But I don't want ACE to be overwhelmed with "useless" features that would (almost) never be used and can "easily" be done via common scripting, and add a heavy load (eventually) wrt memory and runtime loops.

@M1n1d0u: How so? Besides, comments like that doesn't belong in a public forum :(

As combat engineer (conscripted training only), I've carried and setup my share of that crap (barb wire). We couldn't carry it in backpacks or on back if we wanted to (our models at least). Everything regarding building stuff was carried in trucks. I say don't let them be carryable (except as weapon, with weapon on back).

I'm still going to vote negatively though on this one...
