so it delivers a better overview. Not more than 50% from now, depending on how it will look a like overall.

We found the 50% size enlargement (in width and height) works quite good.
Bottom right is just the weapon end anyway.

For the core you need to move a few elements a bit at the bottom eventually.

If its too small for u why dont you just enlarge the UI size? That way peeps can choose how big they want it.

If I do that, the Kill- and Server-Message get someway out of visibility to the left and of course all the other stuff get´s also bigger while I just wanted a bigger map.

Maybe you just try CB AAS for one or make a screenshot to judge..

Kill and server messages go back into visibility if you restart game after changing UI size. Seems some of the Arma II built-in UI stuff does not handle in-game resize easily.

If you want a bigger map, what about pressing 'M'?

No seriously, jokes aside, I know the minimap was vital to me in JO, esp in coordinating synchronised entry into enemy zones etc when attacking. But I always felt a bit uneasy that the minimap goes a long way from realism, and the amount I use it concerns me. I sometimes think long-term we should try to move away from it, not make it bigger. But minimap is just vital to AAS the way its currently played.

I press "M" all the time, because the Mini-Map is so small and then someone kills me :-)). I like the idea of removing the Mini-Map at all on Hardcore, also the Tags because I´m never gonna play it personally, but of course it is an option for those who like it and what at least I think Hardcore should look like. I´m not the hardcore guy, I´m not even an "ArmA2 as it is guy", I´m just an AAS guy.

Basically I like the idea and made a ticket here to discuss it, before one wastes his time merging something in you totally can´t agree with. I don´t need it that much that I´m willing to argue about that, especially not in this case. That´s the reason for most of my latest Feature-Requests, because I want your and everyone else feedback who is involved. I don´t even agree with 75% of ArmA2.ru feature requests, but I´m just thinking loud here what other options we might have in some cases to see if we find a compromise for all, not just for one group. I can´t implement them anyway and I´m not going to merge things blindly that I totally can´t agree with. If you think we crossed the line already in some cases since r322 with some feature/fixes I won´t be pissed if you just say it or remove it. But I think we did not touch gameplay so far and I´m not gonna do it at all.

A feature request as the name says is something that can be discussed and of course rejected but I think I´m not in the best position for doing that. However discussing is not a problem for me and everyone should be allowed to bring in his point of view.
