Description

It doesn't matter if you control tank or AI controls tank AIs never reload commander MGs. It looks so strange that i have to command another tank to reload their MG.

Is the behavior differently with just Vanilla 1.05 ?

Yes, it's differently. In vanilla 1.05 AI commander reloads his MG.

It's due to manual reload for machine guns. Good point, IMO it prevents BIS from having vehicle weapons reloaded manually by default. I'll try bothering them about it.

Possibly add an AI muzzle with autoreload = 1 to all such weapons?

That's very cumbersome - we'll need to create additional classes for it to be working indeed.

How about re-enabling autoreload and making manual reload scripted then? removeweapon-(sleep reload time)-addweapon will allow player to reload half-empty mags. Not sure though remove/addweapon work properly for commander turrets.

What do you want me to do? Isn't autoreload already enabled again for gameplays stability?

tested 1 min ago, AI tank commander reloads his MG (player as driver/gunner, or player as oficer who commands a tank), only if you as tank commander and go to gunner seat, then the gunner who moved to the commander seat will not reload the machinegun, but you can ordered him to do it through the action menu.

I don't know how it works now but when I wrote this issue the problem was even with the tank where all crewmen were AI. So, I controlled a tank and I had two more tanks in my squad controlled by AIs. And if I was a driver I had to make order for all three tanks to reload their MGs. It looks silly.

Please mind that in my unintended duplicated Bug report #8449 also the coaxial PKT of the T-72A gunner is affected. The bug isn't related to secondary turrets only as stated in A2 CIT Bug #7366.
