Description

In Boot Camp, try Parachute Jump (with HALO), open chute and use Right Mouse Button twice. Parachute seems to be unsteerable after it and jumper frezzes. Example - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQnxcbrkGU8

Could you post your Arma2Profile? It looks very much like toggling freelook (default on 2xLAlt).

Here it is. Any idea how to back to normal view?

I just checked and you got the same (default) bindings as I do at those relevant keys, so nothing special there.

It would be again 2xLAlt (or NumPad *) to toggle freelook off, but if it doesn't work you possibly were able to reproduce the "headbug".

Might be a script bug with HALO.

This occurs a lot in multiplayer. Not freelook related, not lean related. It just ceases all steering capability. Other known bugs related to this are when your steering controls reverse themselves, or just jumble (ie left is left, and right is left, hence you cant go right etc). This happens a lot, especially with HALO.

I see, yes.

This problem was stumble upon already in ArmA1 with ACE1. Using right mouse to zoom or even changing from 1st to 3d person etc would cancel the steering function. This needs to be looked into if we are to have reliable chutes.

Possibly loop wents screwed up or exits too early (short pauses, loop limit...)

BTW steerable parachute is controlled by camera direction. Using dummy weapon and _chute weapondirection _dummyweapon instead could help script's reliability. But first aircrafts would need working turrets, or steerable parachute shall inherit from Helicopter.
