Description

Obs
Dedicated server does not release/unlock missions files.

Example
You play mission A (server locks & loads it). After that mission you decide to play mission B. The mission A pbo is kept locked.

Exp
I can't see any reason to keep it locked. Unlocking it would make updating missions a lot easier, because you wouldn't need to stop server every time to be able to replace the mission file.

The Arma2 client is not releasing the .pbo mission upon exiting a multiplayer match.

Repro
  1. Run a dedicated server
  2. Run the Arma2 client on a local machine
  3. Connect to the dedicated server
  4. Pick a mission in mpmissions as pbo and start it up
  5. Quit the mission
  6. Drop back to the multiplayer browser window with
  7. Quit the dedicated server as client
  8. Try deleting the .pbo mission on the server in MPMissions that you were playing

Obs
Windows complains that another process has it open

Exp
After quitting the server with the client, I can delete the mission on the server

Yep, running dedi on same computer as client, have to shutdown server each time I update/test new version of a mission. Certainly true for our clans dedi, uploading/updating missions with FTP will not update the files unless you close the A2 server.

I concur, very important issue. One cannot update missions on a dedicated server without shutting down the server, while putting new missions can be done. Highly annoying, and it was not the case in OFP/ArmA
