Category:BinPBO - PE for Arma II
Target version:-
NGUrl: WIKIurl:

When binarising island wrp . Binpbo does not recognise "ca\plants2\clutter\c_deadGrassBunch.p3d" this creates windows shutdown of binpbo.exe but when closed binpbo continues , however the clutters are not then binarised to wrp.
all folders in correct position on pdrive with pboprefix inside as per game structure.

temporary fix is to change physical folder structure on P from current "ca\plants2_Clutter\c_deadGrassBunch.p3d" to "ca\plants2\clutter\c_deadGrassBunch.p3d"

seems that Binpbo does not read the Pbo prefix just follows folder names to verify path ?

Fixed the path. However it was always like this, no?

You have to recreate the exact structure on p yourself according to the pboprefix you define.

As far as i am aware in A1 i simply unpbo everything into a CA folder and didnt need to create a new folder structure, but having thought about it is it a bug or does it need only to be added to Read me of setup ?
I guess it only applies to a small amount of things so maybe just Warning is needed. However i believe its High warranted because the new islands can now take 3-4 hours to binarise and also people will Blame everything apart from this solution as always ;)

You are correct that this is something to be aware of.

The difference between a1 and a2 is, that in a1 the folder structure was the same
as the prefix/namespace. So simple extraction worked.

In a2 for some reason BI uses different PBO naming and folder structure. So
simple extract no longer works.

Mikeros extractPbo has a param to extract stuff according to their namespace though.
