Description

Any sound originating from outside the edge of the centre screen sounds like it's coming from outside of the FOV. It ignores the fact that there's a screen on the left and on the right.

It confuses me and reduces my enjoyment.

A workaround has been found for this. My OS is Win7 RC and I think the fix was made for Vista

--------------------
1. Go to Control Panel --> Sound
2. Right-click on Speakers and select "Set Default Communication Device"
--------------------

I only use 5.1 headphones so had to plug in some stereo headphones just so the X-Fi driver would let me set properties for "Speakers".

The game sounds awesome now, better than when I just had one screen.
There's a troubleshooting thread with surround sound in the title on the BIS forum where this solution came up from user Oktane.
