Description

The main issues to address are night time being perfectly black and flashlights being useless indoors.

I understand that if the light levels are bumped even slightly, players will ramp up their gamma to render the darkness redundant.

My preference would be to give players a faint glow with the light visible only to them. Something akin to a very faint, grey, chemlight. This should give players enough light to be able to see a short distance in front of them but not enough to reduce the impact of darkness, flashlights and flares.

This effect could also be increased when the flashlight is turned on, giving a very vague approximation of reflected light and reducing the problems with the flashlight having a very harsh circle that is entirely useless indoors.

I'll second this, even though I wish the lighting in general at night was always as if it were a full moon. Full moon lighting is the best fix I would think.

This is absolutely needed, indoors the flashlight doesn't do it's job.

+1 from me.
