But, on my local server running 0.3, when I spawned initially (my very first spawn) in a L-AT slot, I had the Launcher in my inventory and lost it with my first death. But still, until you die, you have a launcher without selecting the L-AT kit.

"Respawning after selecting a special role slot"

If you have selected an L-AT or L-MG slot in the slot selection screen and you die, you respawn with a complete kit, i.e. your AT launcher weapon or your light machine gun.

With regard to the kit selection philosophy, I believe this should be considered a bug.

That was already fixed in v0.3 - too many servers are still running v0.2 and even v0.1
If this refers to something else then please post further details, otherwise this is closed.

Correct. I tried it out now on a local server, and after dying and respawning I had a non-descript kit with a simple AK. The server where I noted the other behavior probably was running an older version.

But, on my local server running 0.3, when I spawned initially (my very first spawn) in a L-AT slot, I had the Launcher in my inventory and lost it with my first death. But still, until you die, you have a launcher without selecting the L-AT kit.
