This seems to be working in ace2, no?
I just have a simple suggestion.
1) Move "Grenade Mode" window from Top-Left to Top-Right beneath "Weapon Mode".
It doesn't make sense to look at the top right to find out what weapon you selected, then go to the top left to figure out what grenade mode you want. They should both be on top of eachother.
2) Get rid of "Grenade Mode" text and leave only the 5 options.
It's extra clutter to read and if people aren't smart enough to know that these 5 options refer to grenade modes, then they're probably not smart enough to figure out the hotkeys.
EDIT Regarding #2, I was able to get rid of the "Grenade Mode" text by changing "STR_ACE_THROWMODE" on line 23 to "" (empty), in file - "fnc_keypressed.sqf".
As for moving the text box to the right, I'm clueless. FYI - In the 2nd screenshot I used a hint message. Maybe that could be used, but it would obviously conflict when other hints pop up, although it might not be that big of an issue.

On a sidenote:
In german the localizes make much more sense than the other languages. Feel free to improve all localizes you can find.
Moving to right clashes with "hint", unless hint is used for this purpose instead of ace_rsc.
