One of my Betatesters for the Missilebox encountered the following problem while testing with ACE:

I have a AH-1Z APKWS with laserguided Hydra70 Rockets and a Gunner controlled Laserdesignator for self- and buddylasing capabilities. It works flawless with Vanilla A2 but fails when ACE is active. Hydra70 APKWS can't lock to the lasertarget anymore. No lock, no visual appereance of the lock square nor any guidance for the rockets.

The config for the rockets looks like this:

I do not think this issue is related to the CfgAmmo class, perhaps the Weapon class?

What Weapon and Magazine classes are used, and if they are custom, what is their content?

BTW, unrelated to the issue, why does "R_Hydra_HE_laser" not have a tag, like "FRL_R_Hydra_HE_laser"? The class doesn't exist currently in vanilla game.

Tester here. There was nothing in the RPT.

Generally i don't think it could be the laser as it is scripted and not a weapon like the BIS Laserdesignator. There it could be only possible if ACE changes something on the object "LaserTargetW" but i doubt it.

roger that, Sickboy. Thanks for the information. As a quick question: does ACE remove the Laserscanner from the AH-1 config? Then a "fix" would be easy for me.

There seems to be no 'laser weapon' on the vehicles;

The only thing remotely related to it I can find is the "radarType" which was changed from 4 to 0, it doesnt sound related, but in BI system terms, it could very well be :O

laser properties are unaffected in ace:

    laserscanner = 1;
    lasertarget = 0;

hehe, it doesn't need any weapon to enable a vehicle to "see lasertargets.

laserscanner = 1;

it is there so this shouldn't be the issue.

It could be CfgWeapons issue. Try setting CanLock to 2 on your weapon class.
