Blast formed penetrators are nearly equally effective regardless of distance and velocity at which they hit their target. Please take it in account if damage system is undergoing improvements.
Also please take care of distinctful penetration effects; even Battlefield 3 contains a line of smoke indicating EFPs way through engaged vehicle.
