Description

Without need to define NewKeyEntry(62) etc, or if we could define say 1000 of those, but hide the ones that are empty?

Not before A3 (if it is needed at all then).

It takes a few seconds to add a new key currently, for example.

But nobody can use the menu except us, and you need to always keep them in sync :D

Of course nobody can use the menu except us because it's an ACE feature :)

Now think about that some other addon or mod can use it too and would overwrite our key settings for example.

Possibility of overwriting something is always possible, it's in the nature of the game,
that's why we (everyone) uses namespaces, like ACE_ etc :D

Good idea. For the ArmA series it's A3 we have to wait for.
Currently it needs a third party app like Clippi to store data, nice for a mod like ACE but not for single addons.
