Anyone moderately trained in handling weapons does not need to look at the reloading process (assuming magazine-fed weapons; belt-fed is a bit different). During malfunction clearance, yes, but reloads? Nope.

Part of animation rather. Could make it skill-dependent; those playing Recruit/Cadet should be made looking down, and those Veteran+ should not need to :-)

Do not know why? give negative votes
In reallife i look when reload.:( Because charging is done when one is hiding, need slow down stress, even to rest my eyes.,And not need to look at the reloading process. yes ,but where do?shooting range camp?.

check all, no my video but is a example (00:39)

Awesome video, but the moment you took the screenshot he wasn't reloading, he put on safety [nvm, watched wrong moment], because he's a sniper rifle dual-wielding mofo! :-D

Where does the realism vs fun/enjoyment line end? do we go to the point in realism of taking a toilet break or removing and replacing our adult dippers mid gameplay? features are good but the line has to be drawn somewhere... I think this maybe it.

I'd consider myself a cadet but can reload a familiar weapon without looking.

I don't want to be an arse but dont have time to word things politically correct for minimal offense...so

Cause johhnys mums does doesn't mean my/BIs mum do.

In that last picture the gun is raised to eye height on the screen, the screen doesn't face down to the ground to see the gun... now that would be far better that the illustration you used in your 1st post.

In the end I hope you get your request :)

I guess I have to be the first one to say it...

Did you really just link a video with people playing airsoft as reference to how a weapon should be reloaded.

Voted down...

possibly because they argue about watching while recharging.no how a weapon should be reloaded.

I must add, that it's true that in BFBC2 you see how the player reloads the weapon, because the figure lifts it up - I'm all for that.

For the danger I'm repeating myself:

If realistic reload animations are implemented, you should also be able to percept it. After all, you want to see the nice reload animation - not only in 3rd person, as long you're not forced to look down, and e.g. let your target out of view.

cfgMagazines is root class defined in the engine's config.bin
reloadAction="ManActReloadMagazine"
reloadAction="ManActLookMagazine"

need BIS here!!

look down,the movement of the camera would give more inmersion.
and no the feeling of being in a robot, not every game shooters have the head movement, is something that should be exploited more

Well... actually i thought about not answering here as its actually not worth it to discuss a "feature" that forces the player into something in this open-world sandbox.
But let me add, that i can reload weapons quite fine without looking at them and if i can, simulated "soldiers" in the game environment can do it pretty damn well.

can improve in this way:
if you are aiming then reload focus on target
if you are no aiming then focus on reload
