Description

Adding a new param that allows for a Maximum altitude to be placed that would work similar to the map border
where by staying above the altitude will cause you to die.

Reason for implementation of the feature:-
will stop players flying too high to be shot down

We don't need features that limit player's freedom.

I would agree Qazdar that limiting players freedom is bad.
But some players abuse the altitude in BIS games and fly too high to be shot at but still be at an altitude to shoot from

the missile distance param helps but an altitude param would help even more

also its a param .... in other words if you dont want to use the feature dont turn on the param... simple as that.

Surely, the answer is to get one of your team members up in a plane to shoot him down? This is frankly rediculous! Think outside the box - if their best players are all up in planes isn't it time you took a few towns back? Or sneak to where he is landing and shoot him down when he rearms etc....?

I think one of the major plus points for BE is the freedom it has at the moment. The game being played evolves according to the MANY parameters and the people playing it.

Please don't restict the game too much Benny!

Also, maybe add a new very expensive AA unit with Vikirs/Sidewinders in to make flying more spicey.. :)

The reason I asked it to be a param is so that its a choice.
If you want to spice up the flying more try flying against enemy AI anti air when your altitude max is only 700 rather than at 4000

Its just we on our server have noticed that AI dont \ cant fire at enemy in flight when they are more than 1200 high in general
or so its seems 95% of the time.

There's your problem, relying on AI to shoot down player controlled enemy jets is is not a very effective tactic, increase the effectiveness of SAM's if anything.

hehehe we play a modified version which is coop as-well as the normal pvp version.
Whilst playing the coop version and because of the fact the AI teams only buy tungustas t90s and planes we have noticed that if your flying over 1200 AI wont target you no matter the missile limit.
whats the point of having base anti air defence if they cant wont defend.

also when we tested the pvp and the max missile param is on you can just fly at some meters above the limit of the missiles until you want to fire on a target of your own then you drop below the limit
you can use this to stop all enemy air from taking off (hover at enemy base above the missile range and kill anything air type that spawns) and they cannot kill you because you are above the maximum missile range if your an AI or player the same rule aplies.
This leads to base rape that cannot be stopped as you cant take off to attack the enemy if hes hovering over your air depot just waiting for an air unit to spawn.

Odd that people want freedom to cheat... how bout strkers that can dig underground! I want my freedom no limits!
man and missiles you can shoot from islands edge to another edge.

doesnt matter if no one else can play as long as i can fly my chopper and shoot everyone who doesnt have one.

that gurantees me a sure win and thats what i want!

can you please active extra shields for my chopper i dont want to get shot down.
otherwise i might lose the game and thats not what i want!
