Enable dialogue commands for class MFD

It's not easy to describe but i try my best. Also sample missions can't be provided since the technologie doesn't yet exist ingame.

Mainly it is about merging two techs together: on-screen user dialogues and AirplaneHUD configs.

Right now, dialogues (like, as example the Ammobox gear menu) are tied to the monitor, position and size are referenced to monitor sizes (generally speaking).
On the other side, class MFD is tied to respective memory points defined in the models memory LOD (as used for HUD's actually).

What i now would lie to see is the ability to use dialogue controls in class MFD which would allow to create detailed Cockpit MFD's with realistic functions and display content, which also could be changed on the fly.
Right now, for creating MFD's we're tied to what is possible either through animations, setObjecttexture and combination of these. As real MFD's can display a wide variety of informations, realizing this with the given techniques is next to impossible.

If now we could use all available dialogue control mechanism, it would make creating appropriate MFD's much easier and by far open near endlessly possibilities.

I hope you got what i mean. Allow class MFD to make use dialogue and display controls.

Maybe this will help to see better what i mean:

As you see on the position of the (not yet modeeled) MFD displays i've copied the class HUD.

If now we could use dialog resources (like be seen as regulard rscdialog here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_Sh4hGOvWc) to be shown at the place of the MFD's, that would enable a lot of possibilities.

Can't think of a category. Something inbetween Config, Scripting and Rendering. You're trying an effective workaround for Render2Texture.

Even if you're able to do this, you would need to be able to turn off the HUD on the projections without deactivating the main HUD and then be able to call upon dialogs in a specific projection without displaying the dialog(s) on the player UI.

Then again, the dialogs are displayed in the player UI and not on the airplane HUD, which you're effectively copying.

My say on this would be: wait for A3 and Render2Texture - what you're asking for sounds waaaay to complicated for a quick and dirty hack.

Hmmm...somehow i seem to understand RTT differently: rendering a 3D scene on a surface like mirror or TV screen.

This is not what i mean. Right now it is in a limited way possible to do what i mean: the GPS and the radio do actually have the feature i mean: they can display ressources on a defined surface. But here, those objects are static on the screen, not following any head movement of the player at all. So it is sort of tied to the player. What i want is to tie it to another object than the players view.

Think of it like this: rip off the GPS (Ctrl + M) off the screen and glue it in the cockpit. ;)

RTT would be nice but this is a completely other topic and i'm surely not talking about it here.

I mainly understood your original description wrong then - your later explanation sound much more plausible and clear. Maybe you should not get too much into airplane MFDs then and rewrite your original description so it's more generic. Thanks!

I would appreciate if someone with better english skills than mine could rewrite it as i already described it as good as i could. It might be shocking to some but there are indeed people living in this world which don't have english as their native language. I do try my best but often enough in do hit my limits.
