Description

It would be nice if there were water effect (visual and sound) during a flight in the rain, like in preview video.

in fact a must have for a good simulation, it has been around for about 10 years in the FS

I have already done the sound system to deal with varying levels of rain, using the FS rain cockpit sounds as a base. Script in the spoiler in this post: http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1970759&postcount=18
but you have to create the 22kHz mono sounds yourself if you have FS.

Although, sound for airplanes? Wouldn't there be too much noise to hear it at least while flying?

But, that is a scripted solution, moving triggers up and down to simulate volume - awkward and inefficient (but it sounds bloody nice if you ask me :D). If builtin, I would hope for something much more smooth than this. You can't do it as a sound addon afaik, since camPos is not available for environment sounds (where rain is normally done), and rain is not available in a simple expression when used for vehicle configs. If someone knows how, please share :)

First they need to filter sounds that do not be hearable in the cockpit. I shouldn't be able to hear birds or waves when flying close to the ground/water even with engines on idle ( plane ). I have a headset ( helmet ) on that makes it difficult + the aircrafts noise level too.

Maybe not the highest priority, but should be done, or we will texture switch it ourselves, at least give a selection name for us to do it ;)
