Description

All AA missiles and Man-portable air-defense systems are not responding to flares released. My version is ACE for OA 1.10 RC4

Perhaps the config properties that disabled / changed the RWR / radar settings of vehicles, in favour of the scripted ACE RWR system by Reezo and Xeno, might be related / the cause.

According to Xeno, an AI AH64D was still dropping flares last weekend; http://browser.dev-heaven.net/cfg_vehicles/config_full/AH64D

If that's the case, hopefully we can do something about it, or we'll have to go back to a scripted form, which should still be in our archives (Xeno's sys_countermeasures iirc)

No, how flares work to spoof missiles, or indeed anything relating to missile-flare interaction, hasn't changed. It's all engine, from what I can tell, not scripts.
The ticket claims flares, when deployed, do not spoof the missiles.
To verify we need rpt and repro.

When I did the test for that other ticket about autorotation landing, I've noticed that sometimes the missiles aren't spoofed, but at the time it didn't seem to happen always and looked like it was more due to the missiles being lead-pursuit and not seeing the flares when fired from the sides.
Further testing is certainly required, possibly with players operating both the various aircrafts and the MANPADS.

I wasn't saying that the flares are scripted. I was saying that the config properties that perhaps disabled RWR stuff, also disabled engine based flares, making the assumption that they are controlled by the same config properties, or at least affected by.

And you put your hand on that and swear on whatever, that it has no influence whatsoever on behaviour of counter measure systems? (am I the only one who feels detection is directly related to actions based on detection systems, like counter measures? :D)
