Description

Hi Fireball,

The improvements in .75 are great, however the new OPFOR player balancing system is creating issues.

Specifically, if too many players assign to OPFOR, no OPFOR players can spawn. The message is "cannot spawn until teams are balanced". Can you change this such that it either doesn't allow you to join as OPFOR if teams are unbalanced, or at least make it work on a first come first served fashion?

This is a real hassle when someone is idle and assigned to OPFOR. BLUFOR players seem surprisingly reluctant to help OPFOR kick the idler...

You can also have a balanced game with 1 Opfor and 4 Blufor. A new player will jump into Opfor, who doesn't know about the ratios etc, and it suddenly prevents you from spawning anymore either. Eventually they usually realise and switch, but if you have a string of players doing that it can become a pain.
That would be great Fireball if you could change it as per Cranky's suggestion.

What I did now, is to limit it to slot #N depending on the 1:4 ratio of OPFOR:BLUFOR players; i.e. if you have 1-4 BLUFOR players, only OPFOR slot #1 may play, if you have 5-8 BLUFOR player slot #1 and slot #2 may spawn, but #3 and #4 not, etc.

I hope this is intuitive enough.

But I'll add a ratio selector, which includes a selection to turn OPFOR spawning off entirely, so it will become pure COOP and a setting to turn off ratio completely, so in theory 4 OPFOR vs 1 BLUFOR could play - not sure if the latter makes sense - but hey, cuique suum - to each its own.
