Description

Obs
When a pilot activates manual fire first, a gunner gets into after and he tries to
fire, nothing happens - no projectiles get created.

Note
With some recent version this bug was introduced (at least in OA, if not in 1.55+).

Repro
  1. DS
  2. client A joins
  3. client B joins
  4. Run attached mission
  5. A gets into an air unit with pilot+gunner seat as pilot, like AH64
  6. Activates manual fire
  7. B gets in as gunner
  8. B tries to fire main gun or unguided rockets
  9. For B nothing happens
  10. A sees the projectiles, but no damage is applied

Note a) Guided rockets seem to work.
Note b) A (the pilot) can fire all weapons though

Exp
If there is a gunner in, only he can fire the weapons
and any former manual fire setting gets disabled.

I've had the same problem. It's not really major, easy to fix/avoid ingame, just annoying.

  • Affected ArmA II version changed from 1.58 BETA to 1.60 BETA
  • I am using deleted (CO (A2+OA))

Still an issue with the current 1.60 Beta.

quite problem for multiplayer where 'normal' users aren't aware of the bug

note: this bug might be side-effect of the gunner 'fix' applied for AI gunner long time ago

[59030] Fix: Helicopters - when manual fire on, do not allow AI gunner to switch weapons.

yet it should cause problems for players being both pilot and gunner
