Hi!

I'm a huge fan of Insurgency, especially playing OPFOR to wreak havoc on the BLUFOR units who fail to protect their flanks...

Something that really annoys me though is the automatic teleporting when OPFOR get too close to the BLUFOR base. I'd like to suggest the following:

1. Provide a warning about getting too close to BLUFOR HQ
2. Indicate approximate location of BLUFOR HQ on OPFOR map (so you know which way you CAN go to avoid being teleported)
3. Change teleporting behaviour so that you bounce back a few metres rather than launching halfway across the map.

Good idea, will apply warning and teleport at the same time though - it won't hurt to be teleported few steps back.

OTOH range indication to BLUFOR HQ will be abused, thus won't implement.

Sounds good. On some occasions a huge teleport can actually be deliberately abused by Opfor too.
I used it as a Stargate once, while injured, to escape a Blufor HumV that was chasing me :D

I would suggest removing the safe range from MHQ entirely. It is so "gamey" and so unrealistic I don't feel it belongs in ArmA at all. BLUFOR just need to empoy better tactics.

I agree with badger, however there needs to be a mechanism to overcome "spawn camping" by OPFOR players.

The mechanism I suggest is if OPFOR are within x radius of MHQ, and no BLUFOR are active within the same radius BLUFOR respawn in a vehicle y radius away from MHQ. If BLUFOR are active within MHQ while OPFOR are close, respawn as normal in the MASH as reinforcements.

A nice embellishment would be to provide a couple of BLUFOR AI sentries with MGs on tripods to defend HQ. They would respawn whenever MHQ is redeployed.
