Stryker MGS crew won't fire main or secondary weapon

The reason for this, may be as is explained in this Bug #12001, the gunner seat is named a gunner seat but when someone is actually in it they appear to be in a commander seat i.e. they have the binocular icon over their avatar. I think the AI thinks he is a commander and not in control of the weapons, (i don't know how the vehicle seating system works) the weapons can however be fired manually. this mod i believe to be a fix found on armaholic http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11796 taken from this thread http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=105736.

Can you please provide a simple demo mission.

For what I remember AI uses the MGS main gun just fine.

Remember that AI does not change the weapons on its own;
it needs the effective commander telling it to do so.

I don't know if this is any use? All it is is an empty stryker and an extra crewman with player, get into stryker oder crewman into gunner seat , he should kill the jeep but instead he follow it.

i understand the principal of the effective commander ordering the weapon to be changed, which if you were a driver in the vehicle witha n ai gunner you could do by pressing the default "F" key, but as the ai thinks it is in a commander seat he refuses to change the weapon, he will however follow and target enemies with it but in the strykers case, unlike the vodnik bppu, the ai's will not fire a single round.

I don't think this is an AI issue more like an issue with the vehicle model itself. The seating is incorrectly mapped in the script somehow.

still an issue after 1.59 patch, can not order gunner to switch to 50cal weapon or fire main gun/ switch ammo type as gunner seat is still mapped as a commander seat.

(nearly proper) demo mission added.

Expected behavior gunner (commander) automatically engages enemy vehicle and destroys it

Behavior gunner (commander) does nothing, shout orders to himself to fire, target remains in-tact
