As the title says.

From this stance: Crouched, Gun Lowered. Pressing Prone makes your avatar move forward about 3 paces before he goes prone. Needless to say in the heat of battle this is more than slightly irritating.

I think it´s intentional. If you have your weapon lowered, you certainly aren´t in the heat of battle :-D

I fail to see how this could possibly be intentional. Also, have you ever looked at your map when in a battle? Well, after you have looked at your map you are crouched and your gun is lowered (http://dev-heaven.net/issues/16782) ...now some one starts shooting at you...what do you do? That's right, you press the go prone key as fast as possible..and what happens then? Your avatar takes three steps forward, all of his own accord, to his death. It's a bug plain and simple.

Fun as hell when it happens on top of a 3 story building while near the edge.

It happens to me all the time.. so that's why it has been a while when i visited a roof in arma2 ;)

Happens to me too, it would be good to have this fixed. :)
