Description

Make it possible to fire the gun at a rate you want and not limited. The limit makes it unrealistic and and inaccurate.

Or If you press fire, it fires and if you leave fire it stops!!!

Excuse me, I'm using currently Combined Operations 1.58 beta and I can shoot anyhow I want, no fire limits for me - where do you see this limitation?

Updated by Ragerh over 4 years ago

I'm using 1.57,because i play Online and not single player and we don't use beta's.Why do you need a beta to just to remove a stupid feature? Do you play the game Milsim or Arcade ? Why is the limit there in the first place? Did some one actually think the pilots push a button that makes their gun fire for 2 seconds no matter what? ( What happens if they miss the target, kill everything behind it; pilot " O no i couldn't stop it" ) If its the gun that empties its ammo so fast? Yes , It does that, Its made to do that. If you read up on the General Electric Gua-8 you'll find it can fire all its rounds and not Damage the barrels and it has been done. They just don't do it in real life because it wears the barrels faster and you don't need to plus diving to the ground the pilots actually want full control of the aircraft and see where they are going.Which is difficult while Firing the Gua-8. I could see from the previous place i posted that your very busy with the loading of the gun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAU-8_Avenger There's a link for you guys to read. + even tho i didn't post at the right place and i asked you, you just kept pointing out what the topic is supposed to be, So i made a new issue. Seeing that the issue was not resolved. There is allot of other issues i can mention about the A10 that's wrong in Arma, but i wont. Id just like some one to take a look at this and either tell me its going to be fixed in the next update, etc. And not keep going on about reloading and topics excuse me.

Are you using mods Ragerh? I'm pretty sure this is something included in a mod. Sound mods like JSRS and HiFi definetly add this 1 and 2 burst firing modes. Try without any mods and report back.

Definitely using some mods like JSRS and HiFi A-10 sound mod or ACE mod.

So just out of interest, you can have variable fire modes for rifles and machineguns, but not the A10?

What is the so called 'problem' you are referring to?

Updated by rocko about 4 years ago

It's a sound issue and not going to change.

Updated by Ragerh about 4 years ago

Its the issue of not having the A10's Gua-8 fire freely. You have to fire either burst on LO or HI and it keeps firing after you release the trigger. Would be nice if it could be changed, Plus the a A10 carries 4000 rounds, not whatever it is now.

Where do you have that from?

Updated by Huggy about 4 years ago

The rate of fire is 4000 rounds per minute (roughly) while the ammo load is 1300 + something.

Please inform yourself before claiming something which is not true.

@Rocko: I guess his own wishlist :o)

I have made a mistake on that yes, wasn't really paying attention. But Ive found this to be a useless attempt and think your forum and abilities to handle a ticket is really incompetent. So just close this and ignore it. Well just go on Ace's idea of realism ( might have made a mistake on the ammo, but at least i didn't have the bright idea of giving it a continues fire) ;) "@Rocko: I guess his own wish list :o)" No if i had a wish list it was to notify whoever of the continues fire, And yes it carries up to 1350 rounds, Well done Huggy!! you have contributed to the topics problem allot.

Please try and concentrate on the topic (which is the continues fire )and not debate around it.

@bulletoothdan guess they don't have the ability to fix it :o|

Always good to flame people, Ragerh.
Anyway, the ticket is rejected because it was already explained that it is a sound issue and it is not going to change. Period.
I take it by your 'incompetence' that you just have missed this fact. Happens - no big deal. But please learn to accept that Rejected means Rejected. Its like with girls.
And because this is NOT a forum and you do not have anything useful to say e.g arguments why a certain thing should change, please refrain from doing so anyway.

And finally, we have the ability to change, but we simply don't want to.

"It's a sound issue and not going to change." <---- it took 16 post and a few on another page for me to get a straight answer. That's all i wanted thx. keep up the good work
