ACE Tow Ropes need some SERIOUS work, reference this video:

Basically, since the script doesn't model weight of what is being towed, its possible to create super tanks. Additionally, if you are in a vehicle position while the tow starts you can man the towed vehicle.

Aside from that, it's essentially useless because it doesn't work for the most important facet: flipped vehicles. If a vehicle is flipped, you can't tow it.

You can do hilarious things like use the towed vehicle as a battering ram, including going backwards, and as a baseball bat, killing waves of enemies.

Accordingly I think it should be removed until its seriously overhauled and play tested.

Seems I was wrong on the other tickets for everything you mentioned (only found the floating one).
FIXED:
  • Towing vehicles with crew already in them
  • Towing not working for some vehicles
  • Towing bigger/heavier vehicles
  • Floating vehicles
In progress:
  • Speed limitation, warning on over-speed, and consequences of it
