Description

I was wondering if you could get permission to use the A-Stan Marines for Force Recon Marines since there are none in the current ACE at all.

How the hell when A2 campaign is built around a Force Recon team?

Or you mean there aren't DESERT Force Recons?

Updated by Soldat20 over 4 years ago

Yea the Desert Variant for the Force Recon, and also the Woodland ones I do prefer over the A2 ones but yes I meant the Desert Variant of A-Stans.

Aren't they just reskinned Delta units? So the gear isn't very accurate for Marines I would think..

Updated by Soldat20 over 4 years ago

Exactly they are just re-skinned delta, but since ACE2 basically represents all the Branches really why not add some kind of desert Force Recon to go with the Desert Marines that were just added you can find the equipment that a FORECON operator uses here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Marine_Corps_Force_Reconnaissance#Equipment its really already stuff in the game most of it!

Ok well, in that case, I think it would be wise to reach out to Sabre.

i'm ok with you guys including them but to be honest they are junk :) I am working on some realistic FR , woodland and desert.

the vests might be the only thing accurate on the ones posted. as animalmother said, they aren't realistic at all.

Updated by Banderas over 4 years ago

As long as new Force Recon units doesn't mean simply reskinned vanilla units, I'm ok with that.

Updated by ocnfox over 4 years ago

no, they are based off arma1 'flattened' bodies and my CIRAS vest model .

Updated by Soldat20 over 4 years ago

Those are nicer FORECON Operators AnimalMother then ones I posted.

Any plan on these or I guess this will be shoved under the rug? I'd help if theres anything I can do to help out?

Sabre's Marines (the ones I linked to) are not yet released. Last I heard from him there's still some config stuff to do and they are more of a "background" project. Hopefully they will be released at some point in the near future though :)

Maybe it's possible to use Metaball's MARSOC units ( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?121991-MARSOC-Marine-Special-Operations-Team )?
The are released, the have good quality and some camos to choose. Besides MARSOC and Force Recon are pretty similar services as far as I know.

+1 on Val's suggestion. They're definitely top notch, and come with an ACE config.

Updated by ScarecrowisNOTamused. about 2 years ago

-1 to Val's suggestion, its just a 300mb copy of Binks marines with new helmets.

Updated by scrim93 about 2 years ago

So? He didn't steal them, they don't look anything like them, and they are very well made, and come with an M4 with Elcan sight.
