Doesn't this depend on the locale in use?

DD/MM/YYY is a British date layout, and I personally prefer it that way, but would not expect everyone to like it.

DD/MM/YYYY is confusing when you read from left to right.

Updated by Squelch about 6 years ago

We do read from left to right in the UK.

FWIW I set my locale to German, and the revision dates display MM/DD/YYYY now, and I cannot change it back, so it is partially resolved in your favour.

Hehe. Well its not a huge problem not to have it changed,
yet I truly believe the date is easier to read that way.

Btw my language is English/24.

Changed overall date display to 2009/05/24 style, not very useful to only display it in that format on 1 spot, issue tracker benefits from it too.
One more option is to duplicate languages or add seperate options for per-user format?
