Realistically based on vehicle's equipment, remove or keep some of the sensors

Trivial until after OA IMO. (new hud stuff coming, let's see how it works)

From the previews I have seen, I think the OA change is just to reformat the information currently shown in the "radar" into something that looks more like a radar. So I am not sure that is really significant.

As for the original question I am really not sure I have a strong opinion. The magic radar helps make up for limited situational awareness, vision limitations in vehicles, and AI that are VERY good with vehicle weapons. If we can keep those issues balanced, then I am happy to see the radar go away.

Think about it the other way, when the vehicle is occupied by AI and it has a radar, you're going to magically pop up as the red dot on that and suffer from it. I'm not for removing it entirely, but as I said, realistically, leave it on modern vehicles according to specs to simulate them having various sensors, thermals etc.

Guess my hope here is that perhaps they have changed the way the HUD is handled. As in maybe we'll actually have the ability to cleanly disable it or maybe modify/limit the viewable area. Not holding my breath, but I'm for better GUI access/functions.

But I agree that vehicles without sensors shouldn't have them. ACE already deals with some of this doesn't it? Should all be the same.

In fact, yes, they remove the radar drastically, from all tracked and wheeled vehicles except the AA. Since modern vehicles have thermals,
was thinking to re-enable those accordingly:

M1 Abrams  - gunner, commander thermals, even the loader with TUSK
LAV-25 - gunner and commander thermals
T90 - gunner and commander thermals
BTR90 - gunner thermals
